Hazardous substances are dangerous; for example, they can be toxic, harmful, corrosive, flammable or even explosive. Dangers when handling such substances are often underestimated, which often leads to serious illnesses and accidents for employees. The Ordinance on Hazardous Substances (GefStoffV) sets out extensive requirements as to which measures are to be taken to protect workers. It provides the framework for the storage, use and documentation of hazardous substances. <\/span><\/p>\n

Companies that use a large number of hazardous substances at different workplaces should operate a carefully structured hazardous substance management system in order to control and minimize risks. <\/span><\/p>\n
